I just had a confrontation with the electric company.
"The Power of Electricity"

Showering you with milk and honey,
You mean old electric company.
I use your service very carefully
can you abuse me more dare fully?
Inflated prices killing comfort,
irresponsible charging to abort.
Governmental regulations abound
high costs are now duly found.
Will we ever be able to live free?
Being governed by the powers that be;
Will only escalate further rates
leaving many to wish for the pearly gates!
Fixed income households feel the crunch
trading electricity for their lunch.
How can the government let this go on?
Who are we going to call on?
My answer to this call will be
All of the citizens and that means me!
I shall fight to solve these high rates
by starting with the right debates.
Northeast Utilities will hear
a loud roar that will send fear
into the monopoly that you control,
and bring the power of electricity back home!
author's notes:
I am mad, and I am not going to take it anymore!!!! Clean up these high rates we are paying on electricity and gasoline..we must start to show our concern and change our fate!!!!

Candles bring in the peace, maybe that is telling us all something :)
Like the fantastic photograph, good shot! Love your ambition, but think we are fighting a losing battle. Look around what do you see? Lately it is more like buy it, but do not use it, just buy it because we need the tax revenue, but do not use it, precious resources. Saw this going on during the Viet-nam war only difference is we do not have the unspeakable long lines at the local gas stations. Odd, even plates dictating the days you can try to get gas....
I called the electric company here where I live, because I'm living on $225.00 a month. That's it. Was paying $150.00 average billing. EVERY MONTH. Called them and said, 'Y'all have GOT to get me a better rate.' They did: last two bills $50.00. MUCH better!!! They helped me. Doesn't mean I always like paying them, but I like power more. And AC. And internet! LOL
Hope things improve: I'll say a prayer for you. Your anger and frustration are evident, but clearly justified, I'd say. Well done.
I have seen my electric bills and they are not pretty. The best you can do is find out the number to their advocate. They are much more reasonable than the window that you go to pay your bill.

"I am Homeless Will work for food"
