Sunshine Fills Me with Hope

Stillness of the morning hour,
Awakening to sunshine
turning over and you are not there.
Emptiness fills my soul.

It was a dream,
filling my soul with happiness,
but the morning hour
brought emptiness.

Beginning a new day,
longing for you to be at my door,
brushing aside sadness
to embrace the sunshine.

Messages of hope,
fill my soul today,
with more sunshine
for the tomorrows that will come.

Messenger of Love,
send some light
so that you shall find,
some of that sunshine to fill your soul!
