"The Keys To My Heart"

The ocean's power spoke to me today,
Sunshine brightly streaming into my mind's eye.
The steady rock of the ocean pounding on the shore,
and the hum of boat engines in the distance,
brought real emotions into my heart.

The Southern Most Tip of the USA,
looked as if the world just ended.
There was nothing left to see,
but vast ocean and brilliant sunshine.
Immeasurable breathtaking beauty to behold.

I gazed around as if drinking in the view,
tropical breezes filling my senses,
with soul healing energy.
I knew what I was destined to do.
I shall fulfill my destiny with a plan.

I stepped off the pier,
walked along the shoreline
with thoughts of tranquility
filling my whole being.
This is heaven on Earth!

I watched as a mother and son
frolicked in the water,
and missed my children,
a tear streamed down my cheek,
to be kissed by the sun's rays.

Thank you Sun, I know that I
can always count on your warmth.
The emptiness that I felt before
my arrival has disappeared;
joy and light has filled my heart.

Once
Again!

author's notes:  Sometimes, when life seems difficult and unmanageable, getting back in touch with nature
can rejuvenate your inner strength and fortitude.
I thrive on the sun and moon's energy,
to sustain my well being.  This trip to the Florida Keys,
was not only pleasure, but a necessity at this moment in my life.  I urge everyone, to find their sacred places and go and recharge!!!!! Here's to Ernest Hemingway, he really knew where to live!
