"Lifting My Spirits"

by Amber "V" Moonstone

This time the shore seems different
Thoughts of you surround my mind
allowing me to surrender to my feelings
knowing that our connection is "real".

Universal energy rising from the ocean
traveling with each burst of wind
catapulting between each crashing wave,
sends clarity of motion.

I begin to briskly walk the shoreline,
calling out to the Universe to hear me,
I cannot bear to live without you any longer,
I must quench this desire that dwells within my soul.

I calmly stopped in my tracks,
eyeing the sun as it fell behind the clouds,
It was magnificent to behold
and my heart became warm.

To see such a splendor,
right in my own natural environment,
brought tears to my eyes
and I felt that peace I was searching for.

Just to feel peace,
lifted my spirits
I ran down my familiar shoreline
feeling the security of the solid earth beneath my feet.

The wind, the ocean and the sunset,
my soul's landscape of rejuvenation
calmly brought me back to life,
and I sat down and cried thankful tears.

Amber,
To be near the ocean is to be in the ocean, is to be the ocean...our source of energy and inspiration, and you have displayed that wonderfully here.

Dear Amber, It is always a pleasure reading your poems. One deeper than the other and making those who can feel the beautiful nuances, vibrate along.
