Dreaming

From Within the confines of my dream,
I cast away the negative energy,
infiltrating madness, and violence.
One can only try to conceive
the meaning behind such a dream,
and emerge with wisdom.
I was driving along with a male passenger,
and out of the blue, a man pulled a shotgun
and began firing at us.
I swerved away trying to avoid the shots,
but my passenger was hit.
I became outraged!
I was not myself,
I was in survival mode
and rammed my car into the gunman.
I awoke from this dream
in a complete state of panic,
trying to make sense of it.
I later discovered the meaning,
It was a message to me from the spiritual world,
"You are a survivor, and you will save yourself"
Now, the thoughts ring in my mind,
what am I saving myself from?
I am yet to figure that one out.
I know dreams are the windows
of our souls, perhaps more real
than we can ever imagine.
Dream escape,
can it be reality? or intuition,
or forewarning?
I believe dreams are the soul's way
of releasing certain information
when we are ready to receive and handle it.
I shall keep on dreaming
knowing that all will be revealed
when I am ready to accept whatever is to be.

I am going to agree with you 100%. Dreams are the window to your soul. Sometimes it is a message from God, anytime I dream of being way up high somewhere someting positive will happen in my life. Nice poem.

But back to this rather disturbing unfolding and I would think it is a dream-representation of specific difficulties you are or may encounter, rather than a premonition of realty (please God!) Whatever, as and when you are reminded of this dream again in whatever circumstance, you will be prepared to deal with what it relates to and take appropriate evasive action. At least you will be alert and alive to potential hazards at any rate, and that's no bad thing. Be well and travel safely, Amber. The emotion and symbolisms are unique to each of us
Towards inner interpretations...
Your dream feels to me while reading your words that you
Are indeed in control of your life and the direction you drive
And the man killed or shot in your dream could be a premonition
Not nessesarily involving a gun but still an injury
Or from some other facet the loss of someone you value
Which is through the hands of another..thye gunman...
Your reaction could be a suppression of someone too whom is hurtiing
You and you have had enough...
Either or anyway you look at them they are healthy to help
Us resolve our issues...even little things we don't give notice too
Or that we egnore...

Yes, I think the dream has been put safely in your keeping.
I had a very similar dream in which I was not hurt, but someone else was fired at when I woke up, and I have never had a violent dream in my entire life until that dream I had a couple of nights ago! I felt that too was a message because although a bit shaken when I woke, I noted it primarily from an abstract symbolic stance. It was so unlike my normally (ah-hem) usual lus** dreams that I thought I was picking it up from somewhere "out there" ...
