Boomers

Living on the Edge of life,
running on spare parts,
accepting what has come our way,
that's what baby boomers do.

I heard today that we have ruined the world,
our laid back, wait till tomorrow attitude,
well whoever said that definitely isn't 
a Baby boomer.

Exactly what is a Baby Boomer?
Someone born during the boom (1946-1964)
So why is it our fault?
Shouldn't the blame go on the generation that had us?

We are living on the edge of life,
running on spare parts,
accepting what has come our way,
that's what baby boomers do.

I believe that the baby boomers have
contributed to the fastest growth in
technology, music, wealth and well being
that our nation has ever experienced!

We went from no TV,
to the immense screen we see today,
rotary dial phones, to cell phones,
mail service, to internet email.

Strides in medicine,
developement of technology,
progression in the Music Industry,
and so much more.

I believe that the Baby Boomer generation,
has enhanced and enlightened this world,
and will continue to do so,
as we go into the twilight of our lives.

I raise my glass,
and stand proud
to be of a generation
that has met it's full potential!
