Feeling Loved

You came to me last night,
in my moment of loneliness,
filling me with your warmth,
surrounding me with your peace.
You whispered I am here,
I will always be here for you,
just know that I love you,
and you are protected.
It was so real,
I turned on the lights,
to see if you were really there,
but only your energy remained.
It mingled with mine,
as if it were a chemistry experiment,
filling my soul with thoughts
of your wonderful spirit.
It has been a long time
since I felt your energy,
but last night,
I knew your were there for me.
Energy signatures are real,
once you have felt them,
you will always know
when they are in your presence.
As I dopped off to sleep,
I felt a calming peace
wash over me,
I knew I was not alone any longer.
