I've been often guilty of enjoying lust, but I have also known love. Lust is meaningless without love, death is helpless in love's presence.
ILLUSION
so many ways attraction reveals itself
eyes filled with desire, that conspire
to capture their prey in soft candlelight
a word, facial expression, body language
sensually whispering, hello, come closer,
I want to know you better....much better
lust is legerdemain, a mystic star trip
loud call of the wild, an imitation of love
a temporary panacea for arctic solitude
a transitory high, a pleasant deception
lips that meet, two tongues that tango
flaming rockets exploding in the night
loveless lust is for the lonely who cannot
or will not commit their soul to another
lone wolves too calloused or too scarred
to surrender to tender persuasion of love
real love will endure the fires of forever
lust and death are but dreamlike illusions

I have often wondered if there was absolutely no physical attraction between humans at all, how would procreation be handled if at all. It would have to be to continue the human race. I know it is an almost absurd question!
A powerful revealing of lust's character and feeling by the master of love poetry. While lust is necessary part of procreation, it is not fulfilling and hollow without love. And, it would certainly be nice to think that death was an illusion. I just hope that death's a disease that will be cured this century by eliminating all of its natural causes.
" Lust is meaningless without love," I don't think that way. I believe if both parties are just in it for lust, there is no problem whatsoever. I guess that is all I have to say.
