This was written for my mother to let her know that even if we don't agree and even though we don't talk anymore I still Love her.
I was a child with a mind of clay
for you to mold, shape and play
You helped make me who I am today
Sure, others helped along the way
but your hand held the most sway
We have since gone our separate ways
for many long and desperate days
I am sorry you don't like what you see
But you helped to make me . . . and I like me
I am proud of who I am and the family that I have
You and I may not agree but you're still a part of me
And I just want you to know
No matter how our lives may go
That no will make me stray
I still love you today and everyday
