Just who are we to not forgive,
A soul who may have gone astray?
Who are we to not help them out,
When they're seeking a better way?

When we neglect but to forgive,
We place ourselves beyond accord;
Taught throughout all the ages past,
By our Creator, Savior and Lord.

To not forgive a person when,
They may have breached some earthly law;
Shows a weakness with our faith,
Aren't we above this man made flaw?

So, who are we to not forgive?
Or welcome them back to our fold;
To follow what our Lord had taught,
Hanging from the cross Jesus told.

The two thieves hanging by His side,
That soon in Heaven they would be;
Sin forgiven before they died,
Christ wants the same from you and me.

Are we above the Word of God,
That we cannot mistakes forget?
Remember what our Lord once said,
"What you shall sow is what you'll get."

Let us all practice what He preached,
If in Heaven we want to live;
Not one of us is so righteous,
That we can't learn how to forgive.
