A Simple Prayer of Thanks

Thank You for listening, Lord.

 

I give my thanks every day,
To The Maker of all I see;
Without Him I would be nothing,
With our Lord I can just be me.

Jesus takes me for who I am,
He knows, at best, at least I try;
But, knowing I am imperfect,
Still brings a sad tear to His eye.

“Lord, I promise to be stronger,
Try to do what You ask of me;
To follow more in Your footsteps,
Take my hand, help me walk with Thee.

“Not only for myself, Dear Lord,
I pray that all will find Your way;
Those that I love, those I don’t know,
That we all may meet You one day.

“For You are THE WAY, and THE TRUTH,
Only through You, can we get home;
All other paths simply leave us,
Feeling empty and all alone.”
