Good morning my Lord, how are You?
Thank You for this beautiful day;
The sun is rising in the east,
The storm clouds are blowing away.
A new adventure is at hand,
More of Your wonders to explore;
Every morning I wake up,
I find I love You even more. Didn't think that was possible,
Once, I didn’t think that You cared;
For a wretched soul such as me,
In faith and hope I never dared.
To me life was a lonely trail,
Then one day I opened my heart;
You came in immediately,
You offered me a bright new start.
That day I began to truly live,
The day I accepted Your sweet love;
And now I know what the future holds,
Eternity in Heaven above.
Thank You, Lord, for another day,
Thank You for the blessings You give;
I’ll share them with all I may meet,
Your love gives me reason to live.
we've been snowed in here in NY, and we were without electricity, etc for the past 2 days, and that time in silence and dark really does wonders to refresh the spirit and quiet the heart, so that when I awoke to the power back on, I felt much like this lovely prayer you've written and prayed something similiar before getting out of bed.
