I had been asked, and rightfully so, not to express my feelings regarding certain private issues in my writings for the whole wide world to see. They were more than reasonable requests and as of today I am honoring those requests. The following write describes my personal feelings in a positive manner but quite obviously concerns a private issue. From this point on I will only express my feelings regarding private matters when they're positive in nature. They were right, there is no need for the world to be informed about our private affairs. I pray to God that this write strikes a positive chord with those in question. I meant to hurt no one; ever; this is simply how I coped with it and hoped that by posting those stories, that they would help someone in a similar situation. However, I will soon be removing all of the negative poetic stories that I had written to date from the Den. Thank you all for being friends and for understanding where I am coming from. I cherish you all. May God bless.
I talked to an Angel tonight,
Swallowed my pride and made the call;
I should have done it long ago,
Would have been much better for all.
The sound of her voice on the phone,
Brought contentment to me at once;
So glad that I took the first step,
How could I have been such a dunce?
Yes, we talked for quite a long time,
The wall between us was falling down;
I felt it crumble over the phone,
No longer will I wear a sad frown.
Soon I shall see my girl again,
Yes, I did ask her for a date;
Just the two of us all alone,
Why did I think it was too late?
Thank You, Lord for hearing my plea,
In the cases You hear above;
No court on earth could have done this,
Brought me back this girl that I love.
YOU HAVE ALWAYS BLESSED ME WITH YOUR WORK AND THIS WORK IS DOING NO LESS...THANK YOU FOR SHARING. AS FAR AS YOUR OTHER WORK IS CONCERNED; EVERYONE DOES NOT LIVE ON 'CLOUD NINE'...THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO ARE STRUGGGLING TO SURVIVE AND THEY NEED TO KNOW THAT GOD IS IN THE 'BUSINESS' OF BRINGING US THROUGH VERY HARD SITUATIONS. OUR LIVES ARE A 'TESTIMONY' TO GOD'S POWER ON EARTH AND CONSIDER SOMETHING; SOME PEOPLE FEEL THAT THEY WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO CLIMB OUT OF THE 'WELL' THAT THEY FIND THEMSELVES, BUT IF YOU CAN ENCOURAGE THEM AND LET THEM KNOW BY YOUR EXPERIENCES THAT THERE IS STILL HOPE AND IN ESSENCE TELL THEM, 'WHAT GOD HAS DONE FOR YOU, HE WILL SURELY DO FOR THEM' THEN YOU ARE DOING GOD'S WILL ON EARTH. THERE IS A NEED FOR 'VOICES' FROM ALL WALKS OF LIFE AND POETS AND WRITERS ARE, OF COURSE, JUST A COUPLE OF THE VEHICLES THAT 'SPEAKS' TO A WORLD THAT IS FULL OF MANY, MANY HURTING PEOPLE. SO, THAT SAID, MY FINAL WORDS ARE; PRAY ABOUT IT!!! AND THEN LET JESUS LEAD YOU. GOD BLESS YOU AND YOURS, LOVE, JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS
