After Midnight.

Tomorrow's another day.

After midnight, still I can't sleep,
The pain is much too great tonight;
Nothing I've tried has worked at all,
I may as well get up and write.

But tomorrow.......

When I awake in the morning,
 I'll see the sun rise up above;
I'll say, "Good morning my Dear Lord,
Please bless all of those whom I love."

Thinking of my friends in "the Den,"
I'll say a short special prayer;
That God bless you especially,
For your reviews show that you care.

I'll think of all the happiness,
That this day may just have in store;
I'll pray it's so for all of you,
There's no one who deserves it more.

Now friends, I'd better get to bed,
Lack of sleep won't do me much good;
Maybe a double dose of meds,
Might just put me out like it should.

I guess I'd really better go,
Now I'm simply typing to rhyme;
The medicine's taking effect,
Good old Morphine seems to work fine!

G'nite all and God bless.

A moving write, Paul; to think of others in your time of pain.
Please take it easy, one step at a time. The use of morphine is
serious stuff. I hope a road to recovery opens for you soon!
Prayers and Blessings,
Carolyn

Get some rest, Paul; and know you are ever in my prayers!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :(

I hate morphine; it made me goofy-headed! :/

May you sleep like a baby. Just had an operation done and can still remember the sleepless nights due to pain. Good capture :-)

We can't ignore how important it is to get a good night's sleep.
I wish it wasn't so difficult for such nice people.
Can't believe how bad it was for Michael Jackson.
Best wishes.

John

Dear Paul,

Your last poem was tough to read all the way through.
It was another good one because it told me a bit more about you.
Your family is blessed and your kids should be glad.
You are a good person to know and I am sure a great Dad.
Well, it's after midnight once again.
Good night my dear friend on Authors Den.
Amen...
