Our Lord God looked down from Heaven,
Saw the pain you were going through;
Listened as you prayed to come home,
Mom, He took all the pain from you.
He saw just how tired you were,
And that your time was meant to be;
So He held out His loving arms,
Said, "My sweet child, come home to me.
With sadness in our hearts we watched,
As you peacefully passed away;
A smile crossing your lips as you left,
That we'll remember each Mother's Day.
A wonderful heart stopped beating,
And you were gently laid to rest;
By taking you home God's proven,
He always takes the very best.
