(Author's note: I wrote this poem as I watched the sunlight sparkling on the ocean one Spring morning from the bluff overlooking the bay at Laguna Beach)
Sunlight dancing on the tips of wavelets;
Energy reflected from one source.
Sparkling pinpoints of light,
Appearing to be separate,
But each interconnected
To the ocean's vast, liquid expanse.
Movement or change at any point
Affecting all other points.
And so it is with us.
Sparkling points of light;
Each a reflection of the one perfect source.
Appearing to be separate,
But interconnected in an unseen sea of energy.
Our culture has taught us to believe in many ideas which aren't actually real. Exposing these illusions allows us to recover the power to live our lives according to our deepest desires.
