Spring has sprung
a new season has begun
a new song yet to be sung
all the signs i can see
all the things new
that Be
except, you and me
a single butter cup
had popped up
a lonely blue bonnet
inspired this sonnet
an oleander bloom
pink
gone is winter's gloom
i think
and one red rose
that grows
one red rose
that knows
why my heart does sink
warm days
a cool night
they come my ways
tears & heartches i fight
all i can says
sumpin's just not right
clear skys so blue
a cloud or 2
but no You
no love so true
but what can i do
except sit and stare
out there
into the Spring air
somewhere
where
our Love used to be
back when you & me
were "We"
back when Spring
would bring
a Lovin' Thing
a squirrel in a tree
for you & me
to see
a whip-o-will would sing
a Love Song
back before what winter did bring
back before our Love went wrong
a morning dove
our Love
and all of the above
i remember
before the cold of November & December
and January & February
when we let the cold wind
end
our Spring
before our last song we did sing
so Spring has sprung
our Love Song is no longer sung
we let the Winter cold
be to bold
our Love grew old
our Love Story had been told
a single buttercup,
yup,
it's popped up
a lone bluebonnet
inspired this sonnet
a pink bloom
on an oleander
it does meander
it knows my gloom
and one red rose
it too knows
a love true
it too grows
for my Love for You

I have a single buttercup that has bloomed and others that are growing. It snowed this morning but is warmer now. Our weather has been wacky.
Well spring may have sprung down there in Texas, but there is the slightest hint of winter up this a way still...but thanks for the look ahead...I hope it comes soon, I have FREAKIN' HAD this winter...My other half loves roses...enjoyed this one, Steve...Ed & Rufuz
