ever had a friend
take a bullet for you?

i mean it's not like
that's what he intended to do.

but he was there.
he knew.

people shoot at me
he was there.
damn near killed his happy ass.

took a bullet.

yup we shot back,
bulletts flyin',
some people dye.
thanks god
it wadn't him or i.

but,
he got hit.

shit.

me i carry a full load.
"someone" called it crowd control.
street sweeper.
grim reaper.

all i do is point
don't aim.
hit sumpin'.
it's all the same.

bullets comin' in my direction.
pull & shoot.
blast there ass.
lock & reload.
shoot again.
re-load.

12 at a time.
that be rythmn.
that be ryhme.

anyway.

ever had a friend
take a bullet
for you.

now i do.

now i know.

now we all do.

next time
shoot first
& ask ? later.

blast there ass.

that's the way
the die's been cast.

they want me.
they shoot him.

dudn't make any sense.

but,

he's that kinda' friend.

thanks.
wish it had been me.

It doesn't have to be a real bullet, does it. Could be criticism that should have been mine, a complaint, a harsh word, or a spanking for something I did but kept my mouth shut about. Yeah. I have. And a guy died for me once. I don't know what to say to that. All I can do is accept it, or not.

Love you, brother.
