you've been.
God knew when he sent you
i needed a good friend.

He knew i needed your smile.
i needed to laugh.
i needed to rest from Life
for awhile.
i needed to heal,
to let the hurt pass.

what a blessing it's been.
to learn to like.
to live again.
to know what it's like
to love a dear friend.

to walk and to talk.
to talk and to laugh.
to see and to be
as i go down Life's path.

i hope you'll stay.
not run away.
it's such a blessing
to know you're in my life
each day.
