A non-constructive critique,
May causes one to shriek.
One tries to understand if the intent is being playful,
Or just downright hurtful.
Some can even be unethical,
Providing others with a short term chuckle.
It isn’t fair that one person’s evaluation,
Becomes lasting public opinion.
Perhaps you are a big threat,
Which turns one towards regret.
Not everyone is able to see,
Exactly who they want to be.
Don’t let others steal your happiness,
Take control of your self-esteem with finesse.
For you know in the end,
No one can attack your integrity, which lies deep within.
Criticism if it is helpful I will listen to it but Destructive criticism I have no use for--sadly even here at the Den there are a couple of individuals who I would consider to be idiots but why argue with them as the old saying goes
" if you argue with an idiot it only proves there are 2"
