Just Who is this Oscar, may I ask?
A special feline in Rhode Island
In a ward where minds are locked
forever in a deep trance
They hear you but maybe there's still a chance
For love, joy, and tears
to come back for just a moment
But long memories are gone
as well as smiles
But it took Oscar...
A Cat is not only a cat,
but a friend indeed,
Of companionship and compassion,
The eyes and gaze speak loudly,
with a paw for at least 25
Predicting death or freedom
for a world that is no more
But for the families some hope
of a final goodbye
This is more than a cat
I believe he is a special angel
sharing his lives
I wish he was there for my Uncle Sam
so Aunt had more time to say bye
But that was another time and place
for a missed embrace
Now Oscar you see is nothing special
Just a Cat with grace.
