“...Love Endures All Things...”

In a distant country
I found you
after all these years
A reflected search

Now verses among
the winds of morning sun
where hope clung feeding
growing and changing

Life went on a travel and to work
family, time spent, mind awash
but memories do not fade
as night upon the dawn

Vision informs pushing to catch up
but friendship and tolerance
prevailed
over the youth and passage of time

My feelings flashed along:-
over cliffs, winding lakes, and rivers wide
deep was my care since youth
Vibrant red flower a rose

Love is alike a flower
Our friendship sheltered
O! to know the joy

For years so many
bitter and sweet
But a fond thought kept
burning alive

I didn’t believe you were gone
seeing the permanent memories
where hope is not
it serves to make us sad

May I not be rudely dismissed
or outstayed my welcome
To put up with
A love endured
