A strange lost call on my cell, Led to messages on a screen Oh, just words wrapped moving from nation to nation Crossing electronic borders, it seems... Began innocent but “loaded” enough “...Hi I just wanna ask one question as I have heard it a lot: Do all Americans hate Indians?” I marked it with invisible signs of remembrance Words die like flash floods Wrapped around my tongue through a pen My lips speaking... Now, today, and ever more I thought Before I am caught, With diplomacy and candor in mind, I hoped to quell the Ugly Americanism... I seem to have some notion My thoughts are but faded hieroglyphics My words to turn make a friend or foe with pain I made up my mind to be honest and not vain The power of instant thought the tiny key pad to another life behind the screen Now: you write and surprise “...Not all Americans are bad and ugly Peace on earth, goodwill to all...” Then: a reply “...Thank for such a noble reply and being lenient towards me...I am very happy that I have talked to American by chance. May God bless you...” A separate face ready to lift Between text messages As if; yes, You are my friend yet unknown An easy prickling on my finger tips You are a five year old again, Looking at the whole world unsure and trusting Is this not the season for forgiving?
