I reach out to you with my open hand,

yet you see only my willingness to share,

and it is ok.

I hold you tightly in my arms,

but you are only comforted by the degree of trust you understand inside yourself,

and it is enough.

You visit a place in your mind where you have placed past dreams of love,

and you hold them tightly against your bosom,

but I understand. 

As my emotions are transformed from my feelings,

they come alive in your eyes.

But you are only able to see an impression set in the sand,

and not the endless beaches themselves.

Still I am grateful of your love.

I open my heart to you and you know of its unveiling,

even though you try you cannot see the garments I have offered to the wind,

yet to me you are a garden filled with beautiful fruits,

and our compassionate smiles are reflected in each of our hearts.

To see a bird soaring amongst the clouds,

you can see but the beauty of its flight,

never then can you know of its convictions,

or what it feels in the wisdom of its loftiness.

For feelings of emotion are burning embers which can only be felt by others from the edges of their glowing,

‘less then you are the ember,

and not then one whose heart and hand touches its warmth. 

Our true feelings of emotion can  be expressed in words or actions or artistic achievement,

but cannot be in total conveyance.

Even if we submerge ourselves into the ocean we can know of its coolness and soothing touch,

but never realize the vastness of its depths. 

To do this we must become the ocean,

and to accomplish this, we must swim in the center of life’s divine sea as a molecule of its own self,

as we will all have our moment in time to do.

But for now it is the ocean’s fathoms and the glowing embers of emotion within ourselves that we feel in others,

and define to us what is love.
