We are the same, the Key to Ascension
The frozen season lives in a house made for it.
Nay, does the summer visit there,
but the spring and the fall stand outside its door.
They cannot come in ‘less they are carried by the sharp teeth of the North winds, and hide their suns away.
To share your bread with another you must first share the same pain of hunger,
you then will both become thirsty from its dryness,
and quench your lips with the wine from one glass.
In the darkness you will light your candles so as to see the meaning in each others eyes.
The summer is too committed to its own meanings to do these things,
and even though spring and fall bow at winter’s door, they will not enter.
As I stand facing my shadow, I reach to embrace it,
and it reaches back to embrace me, for we are the same.
This one is powerful for me Dan!
