Love has its own ideas.
If we gather in the love that we reach to attain and we think we have attained it, it will not be what we had assumed it to be, and our time in its presence will be like a painter of pictures, in that in his brush is the rendering of passion frozen in time, bound to the confines of a canvas. While the painting represents a beautiful image of love, it is but a “freeze-frame” representation of a living, moving feeling, our idea of love then becomes like a dove locked in a cage, a symbol of, or a picture of love, but not love itself.
In reality know that love is spontaneous and ever changing like the shapes of clouds,
or the direction of a river whose banks cannot hold back the freedom of its currents, We must understand and accept each new and different day in which like clouds our inner skies change into new and different emotions that change in shape, freely exposing our reflections as do the earth’s skies unfold their beauty to us.
The currents of the river will take us to wherever it is going in each moment, as we set our course without a rudder on a ship built with faith and trust.
