Elephants on bikes? havent you ever seen one?
This is probably my longest poem so far. (apart from my poetry novel that im writing, its a short story in the form of a poem, and unique)

An Elephant came to tea with me,
Oh just the other day,
And Elephant came to tea with me,
An Elephant came to stay,
He arrived on a bicycle made for two,
But for two there was no room,

And carrying a red balloon,
As he knocked the door and waited,
for me to let him in,

He started to joyfully sing,
I've come to tea, to tea with you,

So I can fill my tum,
I stood in the doorway and said "hello",
"I'm glad you're here at last",

As he came in through the door way,
I asked him "where's your mate"?,

"I'll go get the lazy lout",

As he jumped back on his bicycle,
He said "I shall not be long",

"I'm off to find my wife",
"I don't know quite where she's at",

"She is always late the tat",
As he trundled up the garden path,
And disappeared from sight,

His wife trailing him behind,

With food of plenty on his mind,
As I looked out through the window,
And saw them both return,

For behind the Elephant and his wife,
There were many others too,

Came the whole entire zoo,
He came up to the door and knocked,
And said "I've found her so",

"What are all the others doing"?,
"Why are they following you to me"?,

"I wanted tea for three",
"But tea for three is not quite fair",
The Elephant said to me,
"But tea for three is not quite fair",
"So I have brought the zoo for tea",
"Oh well" I said "invite them in",
"The food is plentiful",

"There's more than enough for all",
So they all came in, one at a time,
In order of their size,

From the Giraffes down to the flies
There were animals of every kind,
From Monkeys, to Rodents, to Cats,
There were animals of every kind,
From Tortoises, to Emu's, to rats,
We sat around the table,
And ate and ate and ate,

It was getting pretty late,
"You better get a move on",
I said to the baboon,
"You better get a move on",
"Because the zoo will be closed soon",
As they polished off their food and drink,
They said "but can't we stay"?,

They quickly made their way,
"Thank you for the tea" they said,
"But it has started to rain",

"We shall come for tea again",
Even though there were more than expected,
Hat came to tea that day,

It was quite exciting in a way,
It took me hours to clean the
mess,
There were table scraps
everywhere,

dusted up,
I heard a squeak come from
the stair,

A mouse gave me a scare,
I said "you better run along",
"You'll catch them if you
hurry"

So now they have gone and
it's quiet again,
And I can drop off to sleep in
my settee,

As they left and went off on their way,
Some walked, some crawled, and some did fly,
