WET RELIC Resurrection of ancient tasted perfection Something we don’t have Someone who doesn’t exist Spice masks decay Taste savor the forbidden Forever pondering ingredients Dare to repeat the feast Celebrate nourishment Satiate appetite Loss of all flavor Spoils shared Relish Individual portion Secret recipe The mystery What lingers on the tongue?

I enjoy how this one allows the reader to reap the value of looking through the poets words into their own lives and making the analogies that they choose...I have tasted life and found it wanting.
