Poem Artwork

Blossoms

Rays of morning sun awaken my smile,
Dreams lost in melody of meadow larks,
Winds whispering sweet nothings all the while.

Afternoon clouds sail by in lace,
Showering blossoms envelope me,
Fragrance fill lungs of nutmeg mace.

Night time falls upon the day,
Northern lights beam down from heaven,
Crickets orchestrate in harmony.

I thank Thee for every wonder,
Pray thanks for this precious day,
The beauty and love I will forever ponder.

I have read this poem a few times now. Don't know if I have expressed my emotions for it or not. So here goes. The faith of renewal and gratitude to the almighty for the splendor that is life and creation are woven throughout your poem. I am especially taken by poetry that recognizes and is thankful to God for what he has given us. Bless you and thank you for this poem. Jon Michael Willey

ANDY TURNER (Review) (he got a message that he had already reviewed)

I love being awoken by the dawns cacophony, losing myself looking at the dreamy clouds. I used to think the noise of crickets were sound effects until I went to an island on west Africa. A beautiful pray of thanks giving. Reminds me of the old poem. Morning has broken..... Bit like my ankle I guess... Love this.....
My gosh is that you kissing the babe...Andy wolf whistles....

It is too soon yet for us to see the northen lights, although when I see them I feel like a little fish looking up to the surface where God's fingertip are kind of playing with the water.

Christine, I too, give thanks to Him for all the wonders He gave to us to enjoy. I truly liked this poem...it opened my eyes to enjoy the beautiful things that is sometimes taken for granted. The vivid images in this writing caused me to shut my eyes and vision all the sounds, beauty, and to pull them close to my being & to thoroughly enjoy them. A great write!
