Split Second

Both halves fell flat to the ground,
splitting ways at chime of midnight,
love broke loose in that very instant,
took a grip of two, without a fight

time cleaved two hearts at the stroke of midnight and love entered both at the same moment -- Christine a masterful concept that ticks and tocks while valuing the attributes of perfectly timed events coinciding with pure chance -- I bid you love and peace my dear friend -- Jon Michael

Very interesting visuals and a short, effective piece that the reader will remember. Sharp. Precise. A poem of cutting and mending.

BINGO!!! A defining moment when the right time strikes and love has its way, cleaving the second but cleaving two hearts together in a longed-for comm-union. Love this, Christine. xx

For me, Christine, love's the winner here..
but so is the writing, this fine writing.

There is so much room for love's messages in this one Chrissie, sometimes love does split or break away but then somehow reunites in a stronger than ever bond. Love takes time to grow, nurture but if it is love it is worth the patience it may take to get to the point that it does take a full grip on two...

Your words are alive with a love found... or lost? I think a love found, but I am a hopeless romantic! Beautifully done, Christine; an awesome write. Joy L. Hale

Love can happen in a split second. It could also end. As a reader I think love can happen quickly especially with you.
GOD BLESS YOU

This is visceral, red hot and full of sparks to me...
like shells broken open and then they fall madly in love.
Hmmm...but I might be wrong, and this could be about love lost, too.
I think this is powerful because it is terse and causes the reader to discern.
Blessings, xx

Whoa! This could be taken two way, but it seems to me that love lost another round. On the other hand when "love broke loose," it could mean tha love broke lose on two people. Naw. That just don't sound right. I'm sticking with love lost.
