No words can express the pain and sorrow I feel as I see my brother fight each day his battle with cancer, and memories of our happy childhood together are all I have, as I wrote this poem for him.
MY BROTHER ROBERT
February 25,2009
God blessed your life, we know He did.
Your hopes and dreams were all fulfilled.
You did your best and gave your all,
And with honest work, you stood tall.
You loved with all your heart and life,
Your children and your faithful wife.
The best, a husband you had been,
And an even best father, we all have seen.
Now that you're fighting your last battle,
I pray God hold you in this hurdle.
Each day your strength has ebbed away,
But may He comfort you today.
May God in His great loving kindness,
Ease your pain, with mercy bless-
Your life and soul held here and after,
Embraced eternal by God our Father.
Cynthia, I will continue to pray for you and your brother Robert. I pray that his last journey will be an easy one. I pray the Lord will hold him in the palm of His Hand.
