My brother Robert died March 14, 2009 -and though I'm grieving, I know God has welcomed him in heaven, and this goodbye is just for now.
You dreamed of a galleon
To take you across the bar,
With other souls riding on
To the heavenly places afar.
An Angel was there you said
And asked that we give him a drink,
We were filled with such a sad dread
Your going is sooner than we think.
You have taken the trip today
And as we say goodbye for now,
Christ Jesus has welcomed you,
We will see you again somehow.
At your wake I saw the guest book,
And on it the sketch of a galleon,
My heart melted and I looked-
There was the poem "Across the Bar"
by Tennyson.
The promise of God and His grace,
Holds you now across the stars,
What joy! You see your Pilot face to face!
Now you have crossed your bar!
Goodbye for now, Vaya con Dios!
With all our love farewell!
For eternal life is not a loss
With God your soul is very well!
"I know that My Redeemer lives,
and that in the end He will stand upon the earth.
And after my flesh has been destroyed,
yet in my heart I will see God;"

Cynthia, remember what I said before? I am sorry that he departed but he didn't left you alone, his memory will be always beside you, and your heart must remember not the illness and the pain, but all the happy moments in a long life of two siblings.

Cynthia, I am so sorry for your loss, but happy for Robert. He is rejoicing with the angels tonight. He is pain free and sitting at the right hand of God our Father.

Please accept my deepest condolances on your so very recent loss. What a wonderful eulogy you gave your brother with this poem. Remember, he has not yet left this plain completely and you will sense, or see strange things for a while which will be your brother letting you know that he is indeed safe in the arms of Jesus. and he may "drop" into your dreams and you will know it really is him. You have a lot of grieving yet to come but God will lead you through it.
A wicked Cajun Fairy named Robes Pierre entered the impenetrable Magical doll land of Sha Bebe. Queen Faustina, the ruler of the doll land, thought she had destroyed him, but he's back! Will the doll land survive his evil ways?
