Wishing I could connect to my husband but sleeping in different parts of the house not making eye contact or speaking outside of necessary communication.
I'm crying for help but not a sounds comes from my lips.
I'm scream for you to save me with every bit of my being but but bearly a breath comes from my lungs.
I'm dying inside but I've never looked more alive.
I'm aching to be close to you but there are miles between us with your by my side.
There's nothing left of us but dust on the ground yet I swear we can still grow together.
I've never felt so alone and had so many people depending on me. I want to run but I have nowhere to go. I want us to work but I'm watching us die.
I want to tell you I love you but all I say is goodbye.
Standing on the edge of divorce wanting you close but all I say is good bye.
I could wait forever but I'm so tired of the fight that I let you walk away.
I lay here motionless but falling in an endless pit, drowning in my pain.
I want to fight but what I dont want to hurt you.
I'm giving my all and yet it falls into the obyse never reach across the distance between us.
I screaming you deserve better but it echoes back to me never reaching your ears.
I know that it's TRUE but I don't want to leave you behind.
I tell you I love you and you say that's fine.
I realize it's time but your still on my mind and walking away hurts.
woah. i felt the heaviness of words transcribed in this page. it is truly a wonder of the human spirit that even in melancholia, one is capable of doing great art. thank you for this piece.
Divorce is never easy for anyone. Your poem counts the numerous ways that separation affects the marriage and leads to divorce. Many who make that leap that you are on the edge of eventually find that they shouldn't have. And others find it to be a relief once it is done.
It hurts when love is one-sided. It often ends with a couple divorcing each other. You've spilt your broken heart out in this poem with powerful raw emotions. Nothing is easy but I wish you both can mend the gap.
Her grandma always said she had “the blessing”, and to always use it for good, but sometimes there is shame in fame if a person can’t handle it. Don’t let the Boo Hag ride ya
