  reunion, harmony.

But somewhere in distant chants of fateful night
  your passion warped, raged wild.

By pale light of early dawn, you’d turned on me,

“Let the loose, licentious woman burn to death.”

Stunned I begged for mercy, asked forgiveness for
  whatever wrong I caused.

Steely-eyed, parading for the masses, you
