Poem Artwork

Mesmerizing moon,
full-bodied, pearly white,
stirs desire so long unfulfilled.
Alone again, I contemplate
long, dark night of loneliness
and lay me down in wet grass,
confessing things I wish I’d done
to twinkling stars who I know will
keep my secrets. Then, I gaze
into the Void from whom there
are no secrets. I recant, take back
confession premature, reach far
into the blackness for strength
that escapes me now.

A whispering wind
soothes my spirit, broken, battered
by harsh deprivation. Some touch of grace
all that mattered, yet denied me for so long, oh, Lord.
So long. You have disappeared into the starry night
and comfort me no more. In abstentia, you
allow a luminous lunar orb to inch closer
to me, as if to remind me the Creator
is alive and tending to the universe
tonight. And I am grateful
to know as much but
so lonely; God,
I am so alone.

Ahh but when that orb is full, it is so beautiful and we know that there is a comfort to be had. (((HUGS))) for now. :)

Wow!
I can't help having such a feeling that you wrote this poem so I wouldn't have to.
I'm pretty busy, thanks for saving me the time.
Hope I save you some time one of these days.
I also don't feel quite so alone.
:)

we are surrounded by everything but we are all so alone ... but when we listen to the wind, we are united in its glory ...
