Poem Artwork

inspired by Eileen's poem - see link below

            I miss
invisible touch
given without necessity
of physical connection,
made more pleasurable
when skin finds skin
or eyes meet eyes.

            I miss
way the wind stirs
when I see you smile
when I know you are happy
to have found me here,
when I recall warmth
you bring me.

            I miss
easy connection
of our thoughts without
interference time or distance
brings, that sense of being
more alive in presence
of one another.

            I miss

soul dancing with you
so close that we become
a single shooting star skipping
across the constellations
with one heart
in time.

                        *

But that is how I miss.
                        And what I miss.
Now I ask, Why is it
                        that I miss you so?

            I believe it is
because, when you release love and let it come near,
energy, essence of who you are,

            expands hope in me,

explains without words things I’ll never understand,
reminds me there is good to be found

            within me. You inspire
            me
to seek force of my life, introduce it
into a strange world suddenly new.

Why is it that I miss you so?

            I believe it is
because my soul remembers what it was when you
were here, because my soul’s forgotten

            it can choose to love

with what vigor it has left instead of miss you,
so that breath of my love might find you

            again, remind you
of why it is you miss me so and recreate
            sacred space for love’s eternity.

Dawn! Wow! If I inspired any of this I'm honored to be mentioned!
However, it is your unique imagery and brilliant poetry that conceived this outstanding poem! Kudo's! This is what poetry is all about!

How beautiful! how almost devine this is! Yes you expain perfectly how it is to miss one special soul so.
I can relate to this one as I still miss someone like this.
I truly do love the way this poem flowed and the way it touched me,almost awakening a memory of my own experience ,I ached from your words, they touched me.
(And just when I thought I was forgetting him,ah love...such is life).
Beautiful poetry!
Eileen tends to inspire us all to think and to feel and to write well.
Best wishes to you and yours,
from
kay.
