This is a stream-of-consciousness recording of a real-life experience that began with me falling for a girl on the ferry that sails between Ireland and the UK. She was Irish, living in London; I was Irish, living in Cambridge. After we got back to our respective cities I managed to work out her address and wrote to her. In return, she invited me to a party that she and some friends were holding in St. George's Hospital Medical School at Tooting, a suburb of London. The poem was written immeditately afterwards. Names are real - so if you recognize anyone, or were there at the time, be sure to let me know. :)
