if but one...

To count the feathers
upon the wings of angels…
and yet…
if but one…
would secure promise
of flight upon our soul…
precious would it be.

Internal vision…
to see the aura
of the most luminous light…
would be
forever with us.

Setting sail…
upon the waters
of celestial territory…
anchoring our soul
in the safest sea of self…
unlocking the treasures
in the heavens.

If…
but to catch one feather
of our guardians freedom in flight…
would then
give permanence…
truth…
to questions within us.

Collection…
Thoughts…
Feathers…
acquiring the armor of goodness…
emancipation…
far beyond mortal existence.

I caught a feather once. I made a tea with it and sip a little every day. That's how to make it stay.

If but one indeed! I love this beginning stanza and the message that flowed like gently lapping waves throughout the poem. Nice!!

Watching angels spread their glorious wings to betow love, compassion and understanding upon all mankind, now there is a thought. Such a beautifully inspirations piece....

Angels have wings and some don't. There are those who are positoned in the right places for us when we need them. In passing everyday I would say I find one or two. Their goodness lends direction to a wayward soul at times. Thank you for looking. They are everywhere.

"...acquiring the armor of goodness..."
I pray for this every day, maybe not exactly, but goodness is what I hope I share. But, then, again, your write gives me a whole bunch to think about. Thanks!

Kathy

John I love this one, read it twice, something about me and angels and our guardian freedom in flight. Great write, thank you for sharing.

"...to catch one feather of our guardians freedom in flight..." our eyes look up when we talk about freedom, but down when we are not.
And there lingers the though, the hope for that "beyond mortal existence"
Good, very good.
Georg
