A Special Gift- A Gift Of Time...
To a very special friend of mine..

If, to you, I could send one gift,
It would be the gift of Time.
I’d try to give your spirits a lift,
And it won’t cost me a dime.
You have so many things on your plate,
And not much time to do them all.
I know you try hard to keep up to date,
But in spite of it, you stand quite tall.
I’d collect all my time that I can spare
And bottle it all just for you.
And just to show you how much I care,
I’d float them to you across the oceans so blue.
I’d surely label those bottles of time,
Like some for kids, sites, house and play.
And another bottle labeled ‘special rhyme’
For us when we meet during the day.
Two bottles that I’ll be sure to send,
Will be labeled ‘sleep’ and ‘rest’
These I know you need most, my friend,
And to this I can attest.
So today the gift that I would choose
And I won’t be committing a crime.
Is not a ticket on a Caribbean Cruise,
But the special gift of TIME…
