How do we say goodbye

To a teacher, a father, a friend?

To a man who has stuck by us

Up to the very end.

A man with a wealth of knowledge

And a heart so full of love;

One who gave so freely of himself,

With a soul as pure as a dove.

A man who knew no boundaries

When it came to giving his time;

A permanent fixture in all our lives,

Whether at work or on a "lime".

How do we say thanks

To a man with a heart of gold.

A man who has helped us time and again,

As our trials and tribulations unfold.

To a man who has never complained,

Even up to the very end.

Rest in Peace, our dearest George,

Our mentor, our father, our friend.
