No Strings

A Re-post of a poem I wrote for a very good friend back in 2001. I still love him dearly

~~xXx~~

Whenever I say, "I Love You,"
I don't ever want you feeling blue.
It's just my way of saying that I care,
And telling you, to me, you're very dear.

Know that there are no strings...
Whenever I say such things.
Those words just seem to flow
Before I could stop them, as you know.

I try to stop myself from saying it,
But somehow I have to admit,
It sure feels great to say such things,
Even knowing there are no strings.

~~xXx~~
