If a dog marks his territory
by lifting his legs
and sits on his haunches
and with two paws up he begs
perhaps what happened to me
is just a big whim
but he peed on my foot
do I belong to him?
He must have been searching
for me all the time
because he circled the yard
and came to where I’m
standing just watching
to see what he’d do
then he came over
to use me for his loo.

Larry,
All I can say is that I'm glad we just pay a mortgage to own our territory! Thanks for putting this BIG smile on my face.
Best regards,
Chris
Larry, I loved the humor in this poem...it is great! I also like the images it portrayed in this readers mind causing me to have a dang good laugh. I like the rhyme & rhythm of this also.
Was it a husky? If it was, prepare for a blizzard. :) LOL That's what's said, anyway: if a husky piddles on your foot, prepare for a huge winter blizzard.
Poor you! 'Least he didn't poo on ya. That would have been disgusting! LOL
