Remembering last summer at my son's grave.

An Angel’s Breath
By Kathy Armijo

A gentle wind kisses my neck
With no evidence of a breeze
Yet, I feel the gentle caress
Touching my skin with warmth

Could it be my son’s loving embrace
Is my mind playing tricks on me
I ask my husband if he felt the breeze
He answers, “No”

I feel it again
A reminder that my son is here
Always in my heart
He truly did not depart

The memory of that day brings tears
Tears of sadness, joy and happy times
He will always be my first-born
Even though he has been gone for almost thirty years

I say a prayer at his grave
Asking him for strength
Reminding him that my love
For him is still strong

He answers with
Another gentle breeze
Telling me he knows my pain
But all is well, as he knows God’s plan

Yes, he is my angel
With a gentle heart
And I thank God and him
For the beauty of his birth, life and death

A loving spirit NEVER leaves YOU!
This poem shows a bond of love that is bound tight!
It was hard to read, my 3rd child passed on inside me, I.U.D.(Copper) was the reason, and It was about to be an Etopic Pregn. in the tube, but when taken out (seperated) he passed on! I still feel his spirit close by!
With tears I cry
I will not lie
or deny
our children we always keep at our side!
My heart is THERE with you Kathy! STay Strong!

I'm not alone.
I just don't put it into words as well as you.
Beautiful write of words I cannot express.

Someone from time to time seems to gentle poke a little finger back my shoulder, when I turn around, no one is there, then I realize that she wants to tell me that she still is with me, my departed daughter.
Thanks Kathy.

Parents aren't supposed to lose a child. I have ministered to persons who did. I wish I had been able to have to poem to share with them. The finger prints of God's love is all over it.

Dear Cathy

I read your beautiful poem about the passing of your dear son. Nothing is more important than a child and nothing is more precious than the link of the chain which connects us. Nothing is more painful than when that link leaves us alone in this world, but we should keep and maintain this tie alive with his memories, it is he who despite his departure stays always within our hearts and gives us the strength to continue in this life. His memories will guide you until mom and child are reunited. We should never forget him and he will never forget you despite the turbulence which surrounds us in our daily duties.
May his soul be blessed and filled with light, may his memory be a blessing for you the mother

Kathy, you are at peace with the life and the death of your son and content with knowing that he, too, is at peace. "He knows God's plan."
I believe he has a gentle heart for sure, for it was passed on to him from his gentle, loving mother.
This is beautifully written. Thank you for sharing your heart.

Yes Kathy, it is him, I too have a baby that died. He would have been my first born..I lost him when he was 4 months inside of me. I have never forgotten that boy. He is with me and my oldest daughter always, surrounding us with warmth and love and protection. He is my guardian angel, Thomas...Your son is definitely with you, especially because there is no bond stronger than the love of a child and a mother...
You are a remarkable woman, and I am so proud to know you.
Peace, love, and light,

Now this is a poem that touches the heart and offers hope for other parents who have lost children and need to know that life is meant to be loved and lived for as long as we can. The spirits or angels are with us for ever, not only as Angels but as happy memories of the time we had to share with them. Thank you Kathy for showing us that love can be the reason for going on...
