meadowland of far away
some year time not of this world
cherub smiles and butterflies
silent sound of quiet prayers

a place of sweet innocence
where nothing wants
and all is good
feline purr of tiger lilies

tumbled roar of lion cub
it's not the earth but so beyond
a place to dwell and
leave it all

and in this very gentle place
I smile
listening as the tones float by
calling now to hurry home

in time, in time I'll leave this mind
drifting in its downy soft
languid in its resting peace
a place where angels roam

meadowland of far away
prays someday a glimmer way
to return with thoughts of yesterday
and dreams of more tomorrows
