NIGHTMARE

In this dream my daddy was always throwing parties in his large house, but he was nowhere to be found.

I thought about mommy, but it seems to me that in my dream mommy was always going somewhere away from my daddy, and she would go everywhere so often that I would feel sad that I did not know where she is all the time.

In our large house there would be parties almost every weekend,
and many people were invited; even some whom I don’t know.
They all came to the parties just so they could drink and have fun.

In this dream there was a party last night, and I woke up in the morning, and was walking along the hallway that seemed more like a highway.

I tried looking for daddy, but I could not find him. I look down into the room one floor below me and saw there was a family of people there. I thought they must have got too drunk to drive home last night and my daddy had just put them there to let them sleep; as this was what daddy would normally do to drunken guests in my dream.

As I was walking by, the man was beginning to wake up. He first looked at himself and then at the others; and then he looked around the room. He then realized that he was drunk last night and now he was not in his own house. Then one by one, all the other family members began to wake up as well. They looked at each other, and then realized too that they were not in their own house.

I tried looking for my mommy and daddy, but it seems to me in my dream that daddy would only throw parties and invite people to come to the parties, but then he would never be there when the parties end; nor would he be there the following day to see them off.

In my dream I so wish to see my daddy when I woke up in the morning. I knew my mommy would not be there because in my dream she seemed to have been gone for quite some time already, and no one knows where she is now.

Suddenly, I felt an immense emptiness and began to cry. I held a gavel in my hand while I stood on the higher ground. I hit the gavel on the podium like what a judge or a speaker would do, and I said, “I declare I’m an orphan now”.

Tears just rolled down my cheeks, and people around me came forward to hug and comfort me. I felt my emotion rising, as I woke up I could feel the tears welling up in my eyes.

I’m saddened by this dream.
I felt this dream is a nightmare.

WHEN WE AWAKE...FROM A GOOD DREAM, HOW GOOD WE FEEL AND WHAT A BLESSING! HOWEVER WHEN WE AWAKE FROM A BAD DREAM THAT MAKES ONE FEEL LIKE THEY WERE IN A ...NIGHTMARE, EVEN THOUGH THE FEELING IT IMPARTED LINGERS A WHILE, WHAT A RELIEF TO KNOW THAT IT WAS ONLY...A DREAM. THANKS, SANDIE. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...HIS+INSPIRATIONS

It's good to get your story about your dream out of inside of you. Still, it is a dream and what really matters is REAL LIVING and what you REALLY say, think and do. God Bless You Sandie!

I don't have nightmares often, but have good dreams mostly. This is quite a sad dream, but I'm glad you expressed it here for us to read.

some one instructed me once, if you find yourself within a nightmare
say a prayer, I took that advice during an unwanted dream I was unable to escape from and it faded, like a silver screen fading to black.......Try it
Love & Peace be with you

dreams reveal our fears as well as assurances and can easily shift back and forth ...

Sometimes dreams seem like nightmares and can be scary but then others will take what you are feeling inside and bring that out and help you to understand or just to accept what is happening in life.

I have those memories of those parties, but thankfully, not in my dreams.

I'm glad you've written the poem to help try to explain the dream. There is a certain sense of the loss of your parents in your dream that you subconsciously placed there while dreaming. It's always good to express ourselves when we have feelings we need to get out.

Some dreams are very tralistic but they are just dreams

That is quite the dream, Sandie. I can understand how the sense of emptiness and loss would make it more like a nightmare. Very intriguing. Thank you for sharing. Love and best wishes to you,

Regis
