In memory of church member who was born in the hills and retired to the country.
COUNTRY Working for his family, Laboring in the mills. It seemed so far away, The beauty of the hills. But country, God, and family, Overruled his dreams. He never shirked his duty, With wild and foolish schemes. He loved his children well, They grew and moved on out. He retired from city streets, And moved to rural route. His animals and his gardening, Brought back his memories past. His wife was always with him, Was with him till the last. Now he’s in a country, Where Jesus is the King. The beauty of its glory, Surpasses everything. Andrew H. Ellis 10.08.07 Copyright © 2007
