Sometimes the pain is so bad you forget how to feel.
A cloudy haze of nothingness fills the empty room. But deep down a strong emotion, cries to be let out.
A soul in deep turmoil, a pain so sharp, she forgets how to feel. It was as if a shot of Novocain pierced her bleeding heart. But as the drug wears off, once again the stabbing pain has become all too real.
This is so true, Mary. I witnessed my mom go through this and eventually, she chose to leave. I have felt this as well. This is a powerful and meaningful write. Thank you. Love and best wishes to you,
A further collection of poems, many from years in the Middle East, but also the California San Francisco and Central Coast areas (Santa Cruz, Carmel, Big Sur, Berkeley, etc.).
