Nationality is certainly up there too,

and, of course, is a person's hue.

It is of conflict that I do speak

though a solution is what I really seek.

Oddly its not there at our birth

this threat to our fragile Earth

At home, at school or when out to play,

it's something learned along the way,

of how low should we really stoop

to castigate some other group.

This is how the evil of hatred is made,

whether against those a different shade

or maybe the child with the reddish hair

or a similar feature we fail to share.

With anger there are those we'll greet

just for living on some other street.

So you shouldn't be too perplexed

when hating other countries comes next.

Those who deem themselves to be good

demand a halt to the spillage of blood.

This is the message that they send

'Don't worry we come as a friend'

Strange then, we don't find it odd

when listening to your particular god

that he preaches this very hate
