Questions I have about children in today's society.
Why a pretty girl like you too shy?
Why swiftly do you back away?
Why too much fear in each blue eye.
What happened that you never play?
What is it that causes you so to cry?
What grounds for your total dismay?
Why do you feel the need to hide?
Why does every movement bring a blink?
Why, when with every word you’ve complied?
What does that young mind really think?
What is it that has you strangely tied?
What is origin for this frightening link?
Why are you scared to move an inch?
Why is your flesh that particular hue?
Why does everything generate a flinch?
What made your lip that shade of blue?
What more than just a little pinch?
What, little girl, is happening to you?
Why do children have to suffer so?
Why not forget our wars and call a truce?
Why not prevent another single blow?
What can society that is of any use?
What we need is more than just show.
What we can do is to stop this abuse

This was excellent. They are our future, wish more people realized that. My breath is taken away by this...(sigh)
I pray our voices are
heard and our children
will stop suffering at
the hands of fathers,
mothers, uncles, and
strangers. A abused
childs heart doesn't heal
It keeps the scars forever..
Excellent write, sweet friend..
What would you do if your friend copped off with the man you loved? Wouldn't it break your heart? Abbie is heartbroken when Richard prefers her lovely French pen friend Colette over her.
