Destined to be his mother’s first
But were she to be forever cursed
The doctors’ news appeared bleak
He may not be the child you seek
So it was with worry and fear
That his mother’s time grew near
Yet when this child was born
Over him did we all fawn
With smile as broad as river’s long
With a love for all forever strong
He gives all no question asked
Our sorry fears forever passed
So if in doubt we should fall
Let this little boy teach us all
I love you all would be his shout
His honesty beyond all doubt
Though he’s only my niece’s boy
I’ve treasured every moment of joy
Because of this I can honestly assert
There’s no better than young Kurt
Kurt suffers from Downs Syndrome and like similar sufferers can be the happiest person around

My son, ADHD. No drugs and his doctor teases me and asks if I'd like some valium. Ha ha. Kids are kids....regardless, they are innocent little souls that we are supposed to love. Everything happens for a reason. They teach us so much don't they?
Very fitting tribute to little Kurt..heartfelt. Some days we pray for normal... but who is to judge what normal really is.
Having worked with Downs Syndrome children and adults I can honestly say I know how very special Kurt is. And how lucky he is to have you in his life.

This is gentle and warm...with an understanding of these special children. A fine tribute.
The multiple award winning, 5 Star story of a baby penguin who searches the world to find the woman that saved his life. A wonderful novel with a Christmas feel. Loved by all 4 - 94. Novel or E-book
